Setting the Scene for Cirencester

This month’s Guest Editor is our very own interior designer, Lindsey Higgins

Lindsey works predominantly with hoteliers, such as The Three Way House, to visually set the tone for all their guest experiences. At Blushes, our core purpose is to create dynamic environments where people come to flourish. We wanted to keep our clients and team at the forefront of Cirencester’s style evolution, so it made perfect sense to work with Lindsey and soak up her knowledge from another industry to create a beautiful, lifestyle space in the heart of Cirencester. Ahead of Blushes Cirencester opening at 5 Market Place on Tuesday 4th August and with alfresco dining is on the rise, we caught up with Lindsey to get her thoughts on seizing the last of the summer sun in style.

From Lindsey…

“Gathering together to enjoy beautiful food and drinks with friends and family nourishes the soul. We’ve missed it terribly during lockdown. Although people have been meeting up in parks and gardens, many of us are without a doubt looking forward to when we can push the boat out and dine in style, inside and out.

All of these table settings work for every day or special occasion dining, lifting your mid-week meals or wowing friends and family to your home and garden once again. Here are some of my ideas for setting the scene…”

Nkuku

Nkuku source beautiful, artisan products that are created by craftmakers from across the globe. They have very strong, ethical values and work in close partnership with all their suppliers. Their individually crafted pieces will bring something unique and timeless to your table.”

Pols Potten

“I’m always drawn to the colourful and Pols Potten are a Dutch Design company who have fabulously bright tableware. Their set of 4 'Hippy Snack Bowls' are perfect for those individual grazing portions. With this on your table you couldn't help but feel revitalized.”

Neptune

“If your thing is crumpled linen and handwoven rattan, then look no further than Neptune. The muted tones of their tablecloths provide the perfect backdrop for their pared back stoneware.

Neptune’s new collection reflects a move backwards to a casual and rustic style of natural earth styles and textures that really make dishes of colourful food pop.”

If you're still looking for that little extra inspiration then you can marvel at the doyennes of table settings, produced by  Summerill and Bishop...they really know how to surprise and delight!
